Richmond, VA – The Wallace Synergy, skating to music from Cirque du Soleil, captured the bronze medal in the Open Juvenile Division, finishing 3rd in a field of 20 teams. Coached by Kathryn Valera and Jessica Atkins of the Wallace Figure Skating Club, the Wallace Synergy teams, based at the Wallace Civic Center have been competing for several years. This year’s medal at Eastern’s ends a six-year drought for the Wallace Club, and marks a rebound for the club’s synchronized skating program. The Synergy team consists of eleven athletes ranging from age 11 to 16, from Fitchburg, Townsend, Lunenburg, Westminster, Sterling, Keene and Ashburnham, and they have medaled at every competition this season. The public will have an opportunity to enjoy the artistry, athleticism, speed and power of synchronized skating on March 15 at the annual WFSC show, with shows at 2pm and 7pm.

1/4/2008 – Bronze medal at the Colonial Classic in Lowell, MA
1/25/2008 – Bronze medal at Eastern's in Richmond, VA
2/10/2008 – Pewter medal at Connecticut Synchro Skating Classic Middletown, CT
3/15/2008 – Will appear in the Wallace Figure Skating Club spring ice show at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg, MA
